Job Title: Maintenance Technician III

Location: Environmentally controlled manufacturing facility (not remote)

Employment Type: Full-time | Open to Contract-to-Hire (Preference: Permanent Hire)

About the Role: We are seeking a Maintenance Technician III to join our team and provide advanced support for production equipment. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician with strong PLC troubleshooting skills, multi-craft repair experience, and a passion for problem-solving in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, driving preventive maintenance, and supporting the installation and improvement of new and existing systems.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and rebuilds on production equipment.
  • Assist in the installation and startup of new equipment.
  • Maintain and update equipment documentation (electrical schematics, manuals, etc.).
  • Support the development of equipment specifications and modifications.
  • Manage maintenance backlogs, metrics, and reliability initiatives (MTBF, MTTR).
  • Serve as subject matter expert for assigned equipment and support other technicians.
  • Lead and complete safety-related assignments in your area.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolve issues beyond reactive maintenance.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a 24x7 manufacturing environment.
  • Strong PLC troubleshooting (GE Proficy, Siemens, Allen Bradley).
  • Knowledge of ladder logic, RSLogix 5000/Pro, ControlLogix, and HMI systems.
  • Experience with TIA Portal (preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings, tolerances, and ladder diagrams.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and repair skills across electrical, mechanical, machining, and welding.

Education:

  • Associate Degree required: Mechatronics, Industrial Electronics, or Electronics Engineering.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred: Related technical field.

Additional Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Experience with Oracle R12 procurement processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with EHS and quality management systems.

Work Schedule:

  • 40–45 hours per week with flexible start times (e.g., 6am, 7am).
  • Overtime opportunities available and compensated at 1.5x pay.
  • Minimal travel required.

  • $35-$38/hour base pay with opportunities for overtime.
